Howard Stern warned Perez Hilton to step lightly when reporting stories about woeful Howard Stern Show co-host Artie Lange.

Over the weekend, famous celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton reported that a source from Sirius XM told him that Artie Lange would be fired from his Howard Stern Show gig as soon as he was mentally stable.

Howard Stern said of Artie Lange: "The guy is in such a state--to put up anything that could set him off and cause him to harm himself again is really not a good idea unless you really know what you're talking about."

Howard Stern Show producer Tim Sabean addressed Hilton's Artie Lange story shortly after it was published saying: “It is absolutely false. Artie is very much a part of these channels, and we look forward to Artie’s fast recovery, and we wish him all the best.”

Perez Hilton has appeared on the Howard Stern Show twice in 2009.

Perez Hilton is a journalistic wannabe. Or maybe just a wannabe.

Be careful Perez or I might start agreeing with Ms. Prejean.
