Stepping down: Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy takes a seat

An update was just received on Clipper Darrell's on Facebook that read:  "just recieved an email saying coach and gm mike dunleavy has been fired .....how true do u think this is".

 
So I threw my ice tea on the floor and ran upstairs to see what was going on, and this is more than a rumor.  Head coach and general manager Mike Dunleavy has been fired from his gig as the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.


Kim Hughes will be named interim coach. Dunleavy is expected to retain GM duties.

The move comes as the Clippers end a confusing road trip where they played well, and lead good teams for long stretches, but wind up coming home with a disappointing 2-6 run.

Some say seven years is enough, but Dunleavy haters can now take it easy as the team enters a new era.
