Yesterday I told you all about what a great time we all had at AnachroCon 2014 last weekend. I mentioned that I would be writing an extra article and providing a slideshow of the USO show which was just a spectacular evnt tied to this year's theme of "The Greatest Generation."

Bombshells United, a group of performers who portray 'bombshell" females throughout American history, presented the show. The ladies (by their stage names) and the women they portrayed were:

Venus De Meow - Betty Grable

Chattahoochee Coochie Mama -, Ethel Merman

Amy Docalavich - Ritha Heyworth

Little Wren , Josephine Baker

Josie-Baby- Veronica Lake

The Chameleon Queen - Marlene Dietrich

Sunday O'Dare- Ava Gardner

The host was, of course, Bob Hope, portrayed by Thomas Eastin.

Nearly all of the dialogue was historically accurate and the costumes and musical numbers were as well, although Josephine Baker wore a bit more for her famous "banana dance" than the actual Josephine did.

The ladies did a wonderful job. Special highnotes were Chattahoochie Coochie Mama's bravura Ethel Merman and The Chameleon Queen's convincing Marlena Dietrich.

It was a great show and any time you have the opportunity to see these ladies perform, you should grab that chance and go. You'll be thoroughly entertained!

Visit the slideshow for a glimpse at the ladies in action!
