Get out some bottles of TrueBlood and let's have a toast, because it's official! Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin, stars of HBO's hit series True Blood., are engaged! Though the on and off screen couple have only been dating (publicly) since February '09, both of their representatives confirmed to People Magazine Wednesday August 5th, that the couple is in fact, engaged!
It's easy to see the chemistry between the two in their roles on True Blood. Anna said of her nude love scenes with Stephen, "Obviously, if you're already with that person then you're not having to sort of get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of! I think that regardless of what kind of scene you're doing, the better you know the person you're working with and the more comfortable you are with them, the more open and real your performance can be. And that goes for stunt scenes and heavy emotional scenes and sex scenes. OK, so I have a little bit of a leg up in that particular area with my on-screen [partner]" What Moyer had to say about his leading lady, "My girl is hardcore".
This will be Moyer's second marriage, and Paquin's first. Stephen Moyer, 39, (who plays the bloodsucking Vampire Bill Compton) is originally from Essex, England and has two children from previous relationships: son Billy born in 2000, and daughter Lilac born in 2002. Anna Paquin, 27, (who plays telepathic waitress, Sookie Stackhouse) is originally from New Zealand, won an Oscar in 1994 for supporting actress in Piano.
