Stephen Lee, actor best known for his role in Seinfeld, is dead at 58. Deadline is reporting today that the beloved actor died in his home in Los Angeles, Calif., on August 14. The cause of death was determined to be a heart attack. No word on why news of Stephen Lee's death was not publicized until now.

Stephen Lee, a native of Englewood, New Jersey, became famous in the 1980's for his role in several television shows including the 1980's hit show Hart To Hart, followed by his appearances in Remingston Steele, The Love Boat, Hill Street Blues,and In the Heat Of The Night, just to name a few. Stephen Lee also acted in the television soap opera series Santa Barbara starring A Martinez and Marcy Walker. The actor also appeared in over 30 movies such as the 1990's movies Men Don't Tell, The Uninvited and the 2010 movie Burlesque starring Cristina Aguilera, according to Variety.

The Negotiator actor attended David H. Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri, and later attended classes at Avila University in Kansas City. In later years, Stephen Lee kept a rather low profile from the spotlight but could often be found at home with his beloved dog or out having a good time with friends in places like the Chimney Sweep Lounge in Sherman Oaks, California, or at Mad Bull's Tavern in Los Angeles. His friends say Lee was a fun loving, talented actor, a sweet man and a professional who was well-respected by his friends and fellow actors. According to the Hollywood Reporter, close friend Lisa Pescia notified the media of actor Stephen Lee's death.
