Members of Maine's Army National Guard will be coming home for the holidays courtesy of one of the state's most famous residents.
According to the Pentagon, best-selling author and screenwriter Stephen King is paying for members of his home state's ANG to come home and enjoy the Christmas holiday with their families.
King wanted his gift to Maine's bravest to remain anonymous, but eventually the story leaked out and the Pentagon decided "the horse is already out of the barn."
