Stephen Baldwin taxes: Actor avoids prison over unpaid money

Stephen Baldwin will avoid prison for not paying his taxes. The actor is accused of not paying income taxes in the state of New York from 2008-2010, TMZ reported on Mar. 11.

According to the report, Stephen Baldwin owes about $360K in back taxes. However, the “Bio Dome” star won’t do any jail time. Instead Alec Baldwin’s brother has struck a deal with prosecutors that allows him to pay back the owed taxes over the course of five years.

If Baldwin pays the back taxes on time, he will not have to serve any jail time. "Mr. Baldwin is very appreciative he will not be incarcerated. He will pay back what he owes, and is looking forward to putting all of this behind him."

However, if Stephen Baldwin can’t pay his taxes, then he’s likely looking at some time in jail. Do you think Stephen will pay his tax bill? Should he ask brother Alec Baldwin for help?
