On Thursday, August 15th, artists and fashion fans alike gathered on the lawn at the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver to see the debut of the Stephanie O Designs Spring 2014 collection. Inspired by Still's work at the museum, the line featured elegant, yet functional pieces with a touch of art in every one. Titled "Still in Fashion," the show was sponsored by 5280 magazine, Leopold Brothers and Pekoe Sip House, among others.
The event kicked off with a cocktail hour in which guests were treated to signature cocktails and music. A fashion show followed, which showcased the line, and afterwards, guests were free to take in the museum and see what inspired the collection. Clyfford Still was an Abstract Expressionist artist who played with shapes, line and color. Stephanie Ohnmacht, creator of Stephanie O Designs, was inspired by Still's use of color, texture and negative space. She collaborated with artist Jenny Vorwaller to incorporate art into the collection.
Stephanie is known for creating clothes that are feminine, fun, and sophisticated. Her looks are easy to pair, and they can be worn in any situation. The Spring 2014 line is no exception, as several pieces would make excellent staples in any wardrobe. A Trunk Show will be held at A Line Boutique on Saturday, August 17th from 11-3. Pieces from the collection can be pre-ordered at this show.
