Step up to the plate and help valley hungry through Waste NOT

Local TV stations and the Arizona Republic have joined various valley restaurants to raise awareness of the plight of the hungry in our community. Take part in Waste NOT's "Step up to the Plate" fundraiser during the month of April by ordering the Waste NOT Special at participating restaurants. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to Waste NOT.

Waste NOT is a valley organization that collects 6000 pounds of extra food daily from restaurants and grocers. This food is then delivered to agencies that feed the hungry.

This year's "Step up to the Plate" goal is to raise $50,000. Choose your favorite restaurant or TV station team and have dinner out for a good cause.
