42-year-old designer Stella McCartney hosted a tea party this afternoon at her Greene Street store in Soho to benefit the Women's Leadership Council of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund.
This group of powerful dynamic women are working together to raise money to support 10 residential art programs. This party is happening months before Stella is officially due to be honored by Lincoln Center. In November 2014, Stella will be officially honored and recognized by Lincoln Center for her work in the arts.
McCartney remarked to WWD.com: ''It feels so unreal and extraordinary to be honored at Lincoln Center. It's the home of such amazing creativity. I'm so humbled and thankful, especially having been surrounded with the arts since Day One of my life. I am so proud because my mum grew up in New York and it's always been a second home to me.''
Author Olivia Harrison, designer Gabriela Perezutti and real estate agent Dolly Lenz will be co-chairing this prestigious event.
McCartney will be celebrated with some of her celebrity friends. Those scheduled to be there include: Cameron Diaz, David Bowie and Alec Baldwin.
