British fashion designer Stella McCartney presented her Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear collection in a well-attended fashion show during Paris Fashion Week on March 4, 2013 in Paris, France.
Designing daughter of former Beatle Paul McCartney with a very successful eponymous Stella McCartney fashion line has a few surprises in store for us in this collection, as she always does, giving things a new twist every season…
That element of surprise includes bulky, oversized shoulders (even bigger than what was in vogue in the 1980’s), clunky shoes that have super thick wedges and heels and suiting material, which is used for eveningwear.
Expect a lot of pinstripes, plaid and casual, no-fuss styling from Stella McCartney Fall 2013 in a color palette to include mostly neutrals of grey, black, beige and white, perked up by shades of purple and a touch of red.
Pinstripes are even features in her eveningwear selection, such as the strapless, flared pinstriped dress, which Stella McCartney has accessorized with brown shoes that have an extra-thick black wedge and chunky heel.
Among her plaid pieces, the grey, red and white knee-length coat is accessorized with a matching bag made of the same fabric.
Models sported baseball style woolen caps in charcoal grey and black, sizeable footwear, and carried their oversized handbags like dainty evening clutches.
Attending the Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2013/2014 fashion show in style were actress Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, singer Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, fashionista Giovanna Battaglia, Japan Vogue Editor-at-Large Anna Dello Russo (loved the leopard coat!), former Vogue Paris Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld, American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and Stella’s very proud father, Paul McCartney, along with wife Nancy Shevell.
