Steiner Sports announces two autograph signings with NBA sensation Jeremy Lin

If you follow the NBA, or sports in general for that matter, you've no doubt heard about New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin. The undrafted Harvard grad has had a debut that feels like it was ripped from the script of a Hollywood sports movie, going from getting cut by two different teams before the season to dropping 38 points on Kobe Bryant and the Lakers at Madison Square Garden. Lin has led the injury-stricken Knicks to an improbable five-game winning streak and instantly become a must-see attraction.

Naturally, basketball collectors want anything related to Lin they can get their hands on, and demand for his cards and memorabilia is huge. Steiner Sports is doing its part to give fans what they want, announcing two public autograph signings with Lin over the next five weeks.

On Tuesday, February 21, Lin will appear in Scarsdale, N.Y., at Last Licks, one of Steiner's combination ice cream and sports memorabilia shops. He'll also sign on Thursday, March 15 at the main Steiner Sports Store in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, N.Y.

Collectors who can't make it to one of the events in person can pre-order signed basketballs or photos through the Steiner Sports website and have them shipped after the signings are complete. It's not cheap to get an authentic autograph from the newest NBA phenom, though, as signed items range from $119.99 for an unframed 8x10 photograph to $169.99 for a Spalding basketball.

That still may end up as a worthy investment, since Lin's unique back story and Taiwanese heritage mean that even if "Linsanity" fades a little, it may have come too far already to ever completely go away. The guy can play, and given Steiner's status as the go-to supplier for Knicks collectibles, you can be pretty sure that more Lin collectibles are coming before the end of the NBA season.
