Steely Dan plays at the Forum

The band Steely Dan has had a stellar career that goes back four decades. The group is on their Jamalot Ever After tour in the U.S. and Canada that started on July 2, 2014 in Oregon. On Saturday, July 12, 2014, Steely Dan will be in concert at the Forum in Inglewood and their only other southern California stop will be in San Diego on Sunday, July 13th at Humphrey's. If you are a fan of this groundbreaking group, you don't want to miss out. It is too bad that the group has only one show in Los Angeles.

Steely Dan has always been an innovative and experimental band. They brought jazz and rock together and created a sound that is uniquely Steely Dan. The group has had so many great songs over the years including: Do It Again, Reelin in the Years, Ricki Don't Lose That Number, Hey Nineteen, Josie, Peg, Deacon Blues, My Old School and more. The one constant of the group is Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. Fagen has been the vocalist on almost all of the group's songs and Becker has been on guitar.

The group will be backed up on this tour with musicians Freddie Washington on bass, Keith Carlock on drums, Jim Beard on keyboards, Jon Herington on guitar, Jim Pugh on trombone, Michael Leonhart on trumpet and keyboards, Roger Rosenberg on baritone saxophone and Walt Weiskopf on saxophone. There are three incredible background vocalists on this tour including: LaTanya Hall, Carolyn Leonhart-Escoffery and Cindy Mizelle.

Steely Dan has sold 40 million albums and won a Grammy Award in 2000 for Album of the Year for Two Against Nature. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. You can purchase tickets through and you can follow the group by logging on to
