Steely Dan is set to embark on their “Jamalot Ever After” tour on July 2 and guess what? One of the last stops on that tour is Atlantic City! You’ll have to wait until September, but you can see Steely Dan right here at Caesars.

The tour begins at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon and ends at Baltimore’s Pier Six Pavilion. In between those two dates, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers plan on hitting 47 cities! You can see all the tour stops on the band’s web site HERE.

Steely Dan is Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. They are founding members of the group and still going strong. Over the years they’ve performed with a somewhat eclectic group of supporting musicians behind them. For this performance, you’ll hear some of the best:

  • Keith Carlock, drums
  • Freddie Washington, bass
  • Jim Beard, keyboards
  • Jon Herington, guitar
  • Michael Leonhart, trumpet and keys
  • Jim Pugh, trombone
  • Roger Rosenberg, baritone sax
  • Walt Weiskopf, sax

Songbirds LaTanya Hall, Carolyn Leonhart-Escoffery and Cindy Mizelle will complete the ensemble.

There is very high-level excitement preceding the “Jamalot Ever After” tour. Fans and critics alike are delivering raves like this.

Everyone gathered Friday evening was a believer — and they were treated to something close to rapture." – The Los Angeles Times

“(Steely Dan is) a latter-day jazz big band tweaking a cherished repertory… freed from studio permanence, reveling in the road.” – The New York Times

“The songs are the thing, and what songs they are (Steely Dan) dipped into pretty much every facet of their vast and rich repertoire, serving up an 18-tune set distinguished by its muscularity, finesse and chopsmanship.” - The Globe & Mail

"This was different. This was live. This was vibrant. This was a cascade of color carried along by Fagen, Becker, eight brilliant supporting musicians and three superb backing vocalists." - The Chicago Sun-Times

The performers will be on stage with one purpose in mind, to treat their audience to selections from the band’s extraordinary four-decade catalog, rich with infectious tunes, bodacious harmonies, irresistible grooves and sleek, subversive lyrics, punctuated by blazing solo work.

If you’re a Steely Dan fan, get those fingers ready to jump on the Ticketmaster web site on Friday, April 18, when the rush for the tickets begins. Your tickets will cost you $73.50 to $140 depending on seating. There will be one show at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, in the glorious Circus Maximus Theatre at Caesars Atlantic City.

Enjoy the show!
