The SteelSeries Siberia in-ear headset is a flexible, portable in-ear audio system good for PC or mobile gaming and audio applications.
The Siberia in ear headset is a simple pair of in-ear headphones with a detachable, uni-directional microphone. The microphone can be clipped to your shirt or lapel, and has a simple on/off switch to disable it when not in use. The microphone and clip attachment are relatively large and bulky, but they work well enough and despite their bulkiness
they were never really a hindrance.
The Siberia In ear headset is designed with portability in mind, so you can use it as a simple set of headphones for listening to music via any device with a standard 1/8" audio jack. The headset is on a short cable, suitable for use with a portable device like an MP3 player, Sony PSP, laptops, etc. A 6-foot extension cable (for a total of 9 feet) is included for attaching to a desktop PC.
Also included with the headset are 3 sets of rubber sleeves (so you can choose the most comfortable fit for your ears) and a small cloth bag for storage and travel. The bag, however, is only big enough to comfortably store the headphones. You can stuff the microphone, extension cable, and extra sleeves for the earbuds in as well, but the result is a messy wad of tangled cables.
The SteelSeries Siberia in-ear headset is available in both white and black. It works well for its intended uses, although admittedly it is a bit less elegant than the similar but more expensive ($60) Razer Moray+. Regardless, the SteelSeries in-ear headset is a good option if you want a very portable, flexible headset for PC gaming and mobile gaming, as well as any other communication applications. The Razer Moray+ is generally better for mobile gaming and listening to audio, and its cable is a bit short for general PC gaming applications (unless your audio jack happens to be very close to your keyboard).
The SteelSeries Siberia in-ear headset are priced at $40, putting them between the $30 Razer Moray (basic in-ear earphones with no microphone) and the $60 Razer Moray+.
