Wooden Skis? You betcha! It's a retro-party weekend in Steamboat Springs, Colorado this weekend, February 26 - 28, 2010. Nowadays, most people hang their old wooden skis on the wall as a nostalgic memento of the past. Grab them off the wall, dig around for some old ski knickers or gear and head to the festivities.
The 10th annual Wooden Ski Rendezvous has made its way once again to the Rocky Mountain slopes. The host of the event, non-profit organization Friends of the Routt Backcountry, aims to bring environmental management to the forefront by hosting events aimed at non-motorized backcountry users and their fans.
When: February 26- 28
Where: Steamboat, Colorado
Check List: Bring old ski outfits to sport for the retro ski costume contest, your favorite beer stein and, of course, wooden skis.
