The 4by40 pass gives you two days of skiing at Steamboat and two days of skiing at Winter Park for $199, far less that the one-day lift-ticket prices at the slopeside lift ticket windows. It's a great deal for skiing after New Years but you need to buy it fast.
You can purchase these passes online at www.4by40.com and must be purchased 48-hours in advance of the first day of use. But, if you're a powderhound you can upload a photo online and pick up your pass at the Denver West Christy Sports store here in the Denver metro area before leaving the city. Or, you can redeem your pass at either resort.
Limited quantities of the $199 4by40 Pass will be available and the passes are nontransferable. Passes must be purchased by Dec. 31st and include a blackout period of Dec. 27-31, 2010. Check all the details carefully on the website before purchasing.
The 4by40 lodging deal option
If you want to spend the night at either resort, look into the 4by40 Lodging Pass option. This option includes one night in a studio unit at the Fraser Crossing & Founders Pointe and one night at the Steamboat Grand for $249. This Lodging Pass option must be purchased at the same time as the 4by40 Pass. Reservations required and additional restrictions apply; see www.4by40.com for complete details and requirements.
