Steam and snow mix in Detroit with more to follow!

Once again San Diego's Steam Powered Giraffe wowed the crowd in the Detroit area only a month after their packed performance at Youmacon in Detroit's GM Renaissance Center. They filled the 500 seat Marquis Theater in Northville, Michigan both Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday's performance was delayed a bit as the stage had to be torn down after Friday's performance for the Little Mermaid on Saturday afternoon and due to the inclement weather.

Before the band headed to the theater to set up for Saturday's performance, the fans were treated with the opportunity to have their photo taken with members of the band and their lovely Walter Girls.

The photographers for the photo-shoots were award winning photographer, Russ Turner, and Lance Sabbag of Blue Dragon Media and contributing photographer for The Weird Review.

Steam Powered Giraffe has returned to San Diego and will be appearing next at Her Royal Majesty's Steampunk Symposium on the Queen Mary the weekend of January 10, 2014.

For those who are already asking when Steam Powered Giraffe will be back in the midwest, rumor has it that they will be at the Midwest Media Expo the weekend of April 25-27, 2014. The Midwest Media Media Expo website doesn't yet indicate who their guests will be, nor the dates, but The Midwest Media Expo page on Facebook has the date and the SPG Google Calendar for April shows that the Midwest Media Media Expo is already on their calendar.

While preparing this article for press, word was received from the Midwest Media Expo Convention Vice Chairman, Chris Boren, that the band will be appearing at the convention with official details on their appearance, other convention guests, and more to be announced in the first week of January 2014.
