Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014 is expected to be unveiled during PAX East this coming weekend, but it appears the code for the achievements from the game is floating around early. MTGSalvation.com user Uii posted this thread tonight containing a link to a .html document featuring the names, requirements for unlocking, and images for thirty Steam achievements in Duels 2014. If they actually reflect what's in the final game, we can learn some intriguing things from it.
First, the second achievement, called "Sealed the Deal," is unlocked by willing a Sealed game, and the sixth, "Maestro of Sealed," by beating the Sealed campaign. Together they signify the introduction of Sealed play to Duels of the Planeswalkers. The introduction of the format seems long overdue, and Duels fans will certainly welcome this news.
The second point of note is achievement five, "Chandra's Ally." The requirement for this one is listed simply as "Defeat Ramaz." Duels of the Planeswalkers has sometimes introduced new planeswalker characters before they've appeared in sets - Nissa, Ral Zarek, and Kiora Atua all showed up in Duels games before there was even any hint they'd make it to cardboard. Now Ral Zarek is slated to be printed in Dragon's Maze, and Kiora is suspected to come soon after. The name Ramaz is a total mystery, and the achievement name (Chandra's Ally) doesn't appear to be any help, but we can infer that he is a planeswalker who is pursuing Chandra. Perhaps this makes him an ice mage or a law enforcer from Kephalai, but all of that remains to be seen.
