Sometimes accidents do happen. Condoms break or a women may forget to take her pill. Then all of a sudden she is pregnant. What happens if two people who are having a baby or have a kid don't get along?
Some people stay together for the kids. They think that a child should grow up having both a mother and a father. What they don't understand is that their child shouldn't grow up with two parents fighting all of the time.
Yes a child is supposed to have two parents but those parents are supposed to get along. Every couple has fights now and then but when it is constant then it is time to cut the cord. No child should witness one of their parents getting abused or being talked down too. If they do then they will grow up doing that to their future spouse or thinking that it's okay to get abused because they saw that happened to one of their parents when they are growing up.
If you are in a sitaution like this get out now. Don't stay together because it will be easier financially or you feel bad for your kid. Yes being a parent is putting the child first but it is also doing what is best. Doing best for your child is having him/her in a stable envoirment and not living where two people can't stand to be around each other. It's a bad enviorment for both you and the kid. There's no peace and all your doing is stressing yourself out every day by living with someone who causes nothing but tension.
Have the other parent stay involved. There is such thing as joint custody. Then both you and him will try to be civil because there isn't the tension or resentment every day with each other. So think of how your child will be in the future and your happiness.
