There are many moms of Lancaster who are home taking care of their families. They may be seen at Lancaster City Park for play dates, visiting the Lancaster Library with their children, during the Summer Reading Program for educational and fun events or meeting up in a homeschool group such as CHEAV. Out of the many moms mentioned, some or maybe most of them have received an academic degree before becoming a mom or even after. These degrees can be utilized in the home every single day. Whether a mom works in a cooperate organization or in the heart of her home, with degree in hand can only enhance what she already knows and capable of accomplishing. Also, just like in an office, a home needs to be well organized (not perfection) and managed well in order for it to run smoothly. The same hard work, dedication along with skills can and will be useful in the home.
For Mothers who have received an Associate in Nursing, instead of rushing off to the doctor when their children are sick, they can use the knowledge and skills in tending to their families. Next, a Bachelor degree in Business Administration could lead moms to start their own Work-From-Home business or help their spouses with his or the family business; do they not know how to start and run a business based on the education received? Also, moms who have received a Masters of Education can use their degree as it relates to teaching their children or maybe become a tutor in the neighborhood and abroad. However, there are many Stay-at-Home moms who homeschool their children without a Masters of Education and are doing an excellent job. Lastly, for mothers who have a Doctor of Philosophy can use this degree, depending on the field of expertise. Maybe in Public Policy and Administration towards having the knowledge regarding policies in various businesses as it relates to home. For example, knowing how the policies and procedures work regarding the health insurance.
Taking care of family instead of Cooperate America with a degree is not a waste. Moms can put their all into law firms, a doctor’s office, schools and more, so can they not put the same hard work, dedication and loyalty into their homes?
