While states are busy trying to protect themselves from the federal government, Texas is covering it’s bases when it comes to the anticipated constitutional violation of President Obama’s high capacity gun ban.
Supposedly, Obama is a constitutional scholar and as such, he should know better than to circumvent the will of the people and the constitution for his own personal pleasures, but then, Republicans in Washington has allowed him a comfortable practice of bypassing them and the constitution as well.
More than a few Americans, as well as Texans are stepping up to the plate and promising a fight. Rights of individuals does begin and end at the state level and as such, states are finally getting on the same page and offering constitutional protection to their citizens.
Republican State Rep. Kendell Kroeker, Wyoming got this anti-federal party started with a bill that would circumvent anything Obama comes up with. In Wyoming, a federal agent could get arrested, jailed for five years and fined $50,000 if they try and enforce Obama unconstitutional executive orders(HuffingtonPost).
Republicans State Rep., Steve Toth, Texas, followed the lead of Kroeker and introduced a similar bill that would allow Texas law enforcement officers to arrest any federal agent, trying to enforce anything that Obama comes up with, concerning those high capacity weapons.
"We can no longer depend on the federal government and this administration to uphold a Constitution that they no longer believe in," Toth said in a statement. "The liberties of the people of Texas and the sovereignty of our State are too important to just let the federal government take them away. The overreach of the federal administrations executive orders that are do not align with the Constitution, are not very popular here in Texas."
In the event, Obama is still feeling comfortable or lucky with his constitutional abuse, Texas Congressman, Steve Stockman is threatening to file articles of impeachment against the president, plus, eliminate funding for implementation, and defunding the White House(einnews).
To continue this anti-Washington sentiment, Emric Jones, has filed an article of impeachment against Obama for ‘high crimes and misdemeanors, including perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, conduct unbecoming and refusal to obey a lawful order(infowars.com).’
And so it goes.
