On May 17, 2014 the State Theatre Benefit Gala, featuring Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons in concert, raised over $765,000 for the nonprofit performing arts center, a 24% increase over last year.

The culminating event for the State Theatre’s 25th anniversary season, this year’s Gala was the highest-grossing fundraiser in its 25 year history. Proceeds from the Benefit Gala—which was a sold out event for both gala tickets as well as concert only tickets—support the State Theatre’s acclaimed artistic and educational programs.

“We are extremely proud to say that because of the outstanding honorees, an enthusiastic volunteer gala committee, and our featured performer, the State Theatre had its most successful fundraiser ever,” commented Warren R. Zimmerman, Chairman of the State Theatre Board of Trustees.

This year’s gala concert featured a performance by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. A true American legend, Frankie Valli performed classics such as “Walk Like A Man,” “Big Girls Don't Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “December ‘63 – Oh What A Night,” and “Can't Take My Eyes Off of You.”

The State Theatre Benefit Gala 2014 recognized four honorees this year—Corporate honoree, Boraie Development; Silver Anniversary honoree, Johnson & Johnson; and Leadership in the Arts honorees, The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation and the J. Seward Johnson, Sr. 1963 Charitable Trust.
