Job creation and the economy will most likely be a primary focus in President Obama's first State of the Union speech tonight. There have been rumors of yet another stimulus package to help the Middle Class. The focus is yet again on more construction jobs, shovel-ready projects, government, "green" jobs, and the like. With this, comes questions. How many jobs are the stimulus funds actually creating? How long will the jobs last? Are there better uses of stimulus funds in actually creating tangible jobs? I do believe the stimulus funds and the idea behind them, have merit, but I do question how many jobs are actually created? And are there more applicable ways to create jobs for much more people?
I'm eager to hear President Obama's message tonight. What are your thoughts on job creation through stimulus funds? What ideas would you give to Presdident Obama and his staff to help create jobs?
