The situation in the Middle East is grave right now. Iraq has largely fallen back into the hands of al Qaeda, President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai is seriously miffed with the U.S. and especially its leader, and Iran is moving apace with its plans to become a nuclear power. The situation here at home with regard to the Middle is no less grave. Spokeswoman Jen Psaki kept breaking into odd, beaming smiles as Fox’s Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen pressed her on why the State Department continually denied the Obama administration was engaged in secret talks with Iran over its nuclear program, reportedly since 2011.
