'Starwars' director George Lucas gets engaged

A month after 68-year-old George Lucas sold Lucasfilm and his “Star Wars” franchise to Disney for billions of dollars, the director who was also behind the “Indiana Jones” sagas has gotten engaged to Mellody Hobson, 47, an investment firm executive.

Hobson is chairman of DreamWorks Animation and a financial contributor to ABC's "Good Morning America."

The original Star Wars movie that Lucas helped to launch remains the second highest box-office blockbuster in history, in terms of tickets sold in the U.S.

Lucas has three children: Amanda, Katie and Jett, and was previously married to film editor Marcia Lucas from 1969 to 1983.

Disney finalized its acquisition of Lucasfilm and the "Star Wars" franchise from Lucas for $4.06 billion in cash and stock last month.
