This week on Lifetime they will tackle a difficult subject. The new movie called "Starving in Suburbia" will talk about eating disorders. On Friday, Parade talked to the star of the movie to get the scoop on what to expect. Laura Slade Wiggins is the star of this flick and she is best known for her time on the show "Shameless."

This movie will talk about starvation and also eating disorders. It will also tackle the subject of Thinspiration. In this movie, Laura plays a girl who is a dancer. She was already a dancer plus she loves helping girls with overcoming eating disorders so she knew this role was for her when she heard about it. Laura admits to struggling with body image and gets what these girls are going through.

The preview shows her at the dinner table and she is supposed to be trying what the therapist said for her to do. Her mom wants her to take just one bite of bread but she doesn't do it. Another clip shows her at the doctor dealing with getting on a scale. That is never fun for anyone.

TV Grapevine shared what Callie Thorne had to say about the upcoming movie as well. She will play the mother in the movie. She did share a spoiler that the ending is a huge shocker. Callie also talked about how now there are websites out there that teach girls how to hide food and more so this is really scary. She hopes this movie will reach out to people moving families to talk to their children about self-image and more. This could help decrease the amount of people who suffer from eating disorders.

Don't miss "Starving in Suburbia" on April 26 on Lifetime. This will air at 7 p.m. CST in the Oklahoma City area. This is a great movie if you will be in on a Saturday night.
