Start your day with a healthy breakfast

There are many good choices for a balanced breakfast of healthy foods to choose from. Healthy foods consist of fresh or frozen fruits, farm fresh eggs, and fresh organic vegetables. Trying to combine all the needed nutrients with lean protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats into your daily breakfast is probably easier than one might think.

Three healthy breakfast meals are:

1. Orange juice and blueberry pancakes with agave syrup.

2. Plain yogurt with added fresh blueberries or strawberries.

3. Two egg omelet with sautéed spinach leaves cooked in olive oil.

Grocery List items for healthy breakfast meals:

Bananas, blueberries, kiwi, strawberries, oatmeal, oranges, grapefruit, fresh eggs, etc.

Smoothie breakfast foods:

Romaine lettuce, celery, apples, raspberries, carrots, along with any of the above foods.

The key to better health is eating fresh fruits for breakfast and mid-morning snacks, then vegetable salad for lunch with either fish or chicken added if wanted, and top off dinner with a dark green leafy salad with lean meat and or steamed vegetables. As always follow up with a evening walk before bed.
