Starting your career in Policing can begin with a passion for that which is most important to you. There are many different Police Organizations that work together for the common protection of the public. Throughout Canada, the various branches include the Federal/National Police Force, Provincial Police Force and Municipal Police Services. The RCMP functions with a national scope. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, Sûreté du Québec and Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) function at the provincial level. Toronto is one of the cities included in the group of over one hundred fifty municipally-based Services. There are over fifty First Nations Police Services.
Follow the footsteps of those who have already succeeded at becoming a Police Officer. Make an informal appointment at your local Police Station to speak to an adviser.
