Start the year with a schooling show on 15th January 2012!

The winter has been so mild that we’re still able to ride our horses. After the past few years, this is absolute heaven! So here is a schooling show at Country Hill Farm where you can take your horse during the month of January.

What:

A non-licensed show with lead line classes, beginner equitation classes, schooling amateur and open hunter classes.

Fence heights vary from 18 inches to 3 feet.

Examples of Some of the Classes:

Lead Line class: open to riders 7 years of age and under and judged 50% on child’s hands and seat and 50% on mount’s quietness and suitability.

Beginner Adult Equitation class: open to adults and will be judged on hands, seat, legs, general position and control of mount.

Schooling Hunter class: open to horses and ponies and will be judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. The fences will be 2’3” in height.

Special Hunter class: open to horses and ponies, and will be judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. Fences will be 2’6” in height.

Children/Adult Amateur Hunter: open to horses and riders 17 years of age and under or Adult Amateurs.  It will be judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. Fences to be 2’6”-3’ in height.

Open Hunter class: open to horses. Judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. The fences will be 3’ in height.

Regulations:

All riders are required to wear protective headgear when mounted.

Proper riding attire (Boots and Breeches) is required. Coats are required for equitation classes.

Proof of negative Coggins dated within 12 months of the show date.

A Junior Rider is a rider under 18 years of age as of December 1st.

Six ribbons will be awarded in all classes.

Championship and Reserve Champion in all divisions.

Delicious food available on the showgrounds.

Directions and Parking:

"Country Hill Farm is located on Leisters Church Rd off of Route #482 ( Hampstead-Mexico Road). The farm is approximately 4 miles from Westminster, Hampstead, and Manchester.

A large entrance for tractor trailers and other larger trailers is located on Leisters Church Road. The entrance for two- four horse trailers and smaller vans is located on Route # 482, please follow the signs.

There is a separate parking area for cars and trucks, once you have unloaded, located off of the Leisters Church Road entrance. There is ample parking for all. Thank you for your cooperation."
