Wine Tasting Mixer in Beverly Hills this Friday, January 13th. This mixer isn't for the posh and gold-diggers among us, it's a chance for all of us worker bees to drink some fabulous wine at the awesome Vampire Lounge and Tasting Room. For $48.75 you get unlimited tastes and appetizers, plus some education about the wine from a sommelier. Think about it - that's the price of a couple of fancy drinks anywhere else in BH. PaQui Tequila Punch Crawl on the Sunset Strip Wednesday, January 18th. Tired of the mid-day slump? Not to worry this week - there's a "punch" crawl waiting for you on the Sunset Strip. Five old-time establishments including Red Rock, Isla Cantina and Rosa Mexicano are offering a specialty drink at each of their establishments - plus some delicious apps - all for a $25, all-inclusive price tag. This isn't for the faint of heart (or liver).
Never tried speed dating? SpeedLADating is a great bet for first-timers, and they're hosting a party on Wednesday January 18th at Sonoma Wine Garden in Santa Monica for ages 25-39. It's a chance to meet about 20 other singles in one night, plus they offer participants complimentary make-overs and gourmet appetizers. Can't beat that for the $42 price. Be sure to sign up in advance on their site.
If you want something low-key, Singular City is hosting a culinary treat called "A Hole in the Wall Adventure." They'll be checking out some Indonesian cuisine at Ramayani in Westwood on Saturday January 14th. If you want a hang and like to find new places to please your palette, this might be for you.
