Stars present "Kaleidoscope", music and figure skating for a cure.

If you are stuck in the kitchen this Thanksgiving Day you will want to set your DVR to record “Kaleidoscope”. The show stars cancer survivor, and International superstar Olivia Newton John. She will be joined by Producer David Foster, former Idol contestants David Archuleta, Katherine McPhee and 2 Olympic Champions, cancer survivor Dorothy Hamill, and 2 time cancer survivor Scott Hamilton, and more!

Kaleidoscope is being presented to celebrate the survivors of cancer, and to bring awareness of the key issues surrounding women and cancer. International singing star Olivia Newton John, and Olympic champions Dorothy Hamill and Scott Hamilton are all cancer survivors. Together they share a passion to inspire others toward finding a cure.
 

They will be joined on the ice by 1992 Olympic champion skater, and Dancing with the Stars Champion Kristie Yamaguchi, Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan. Former Olympic Gold Medalist, and World Champion figure skater Viktr Petrenko will perform along with 2009 Junior World Champion Ashley Wagner , 2008 World Junior Champion Rachael Flatt , and 2009 U.S. silver medalist Brandon Mroz. Also performing a will be top ranked dance team and 2009 U.S. and Four Continents Ice Dance Champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White who will perform a couples routine.

They will all be skating to the music of Olivia Newton John, David Archuleta, Katherine McPhee, and 15 time Grammy winner David Foster. Olivia and producer David Foster will perform a song together called “Hope is Always Here”, which was written by a group of children through “The Purple Songs Can Fly Project”.

“Purple Songs Can Fly” is a musical outlet at the Texas Cancer Center. The program gives kids the chance to share music with friend and family in the form of their own personal recordings as a “tangible symbol for the hope of healing”.

"I am very excited about being a part of Kaleidoscope and performing this very powerful piece of music written by children faced with cancer," said Newton-John. "As a cancer survivor and health advocate, this will be a particularly memorable performance for me."

David Foster : "It is an incredible honor to take the heartfelt lyrics of amazing and courageous children, and turn them into a poignant song with Olivia. Performing this song with Olivia, and the kids was the icing on the cake for a spectacular evening, making Kaleidoscope a truly unforgettable program.”

Former American Idol finalist David Archuleta will be singing some selections from his latest hit CD "Christmas from the heart”. Another Idol star appearing in her new “platinum do” is Katherine McPhee, who will be singing “I'll be home for Christmas".

Since Olivia overcame her battle with breast cancer, she was inspired to create her “self-penned and produced album, "GAIA" – her most personal album reflecting upon her experiences with cancer becoming a positive inspiration to millions of people battling cancer.”

Passionate against breast cancer Olivia also helped fund the “Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre”, and has been instrumental in the creation of “Liv-Aid”, which is a device created to ease self breast exams for women.

The show airs on Fox network at 4 PM eastern....or  after the Fox Thanksgiving day football.
