Stars get a taste of Philadelphia at Sundance

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office's (GPFO) efforts to keep Philadelphia on the radar of film industry executives and insiders where in full swing during the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The Philadelphia Industry Lounge presented by J.P. Cummins of Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC and Fox Rothschild was filled with swag from Philadelphia brands and retailers including  Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co., Denim Habit, 611 Lifestyle, Xfinity, Fox Rothschild, and the Center City District.

Celebrity sightings included Justin Long (seen in He’s Just Not That Into You, Going the Distance, New Girl), Laura Prepon  of the new sitcom Are You There, Chelsea?, Kate Aselton from The League, and Christina Hendricks of Mad Men.

Philadelphia-based DJ Nigel Richards, the man behinf 611 Lifestyle, hosted his own gifting suite that played host to a treasure trove of celebrites including Andie MacDowell, Casper Van Dien, Greys Anatomy heartthrob Jesse Williams, Kevin Sorbo, Sarah Scott of The Artist, Lil Jon, Mario Lopex, Nia Vardalos, and Skylar Grey.

The Philadelphia Industry Lounge offered filmmakers and entertainment professionals a place to learn about the invaluable resources available in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.  From impressive financial incentives, locations to suit every backdrop, and a plethora of accommodating city services.  

Inside the lounge, guests enjoyed a “Taste of Philadelphia” including local food favorites such as Tastykakes, while networking with Philadelphia industry professionals and autographing the "LOVE" statue.
