Starbucks at Wadsworth and Jewell: another place to escape the home office

Getting out of the home office to work is a great way to refresh the mind and get a new perspective. It's also a great way to avoid some of the distractions at home. And, of course, it provides a nice place to meet if you're meeting with clients you don't want to have at the house.

Location: Starbucks Wadsworth and Jewell
Hours: 5 a.m.- 10 p.m.
Seating: 9 tables
Electrical Outlets: 4
Outdoor Seating: 3 tables
Cost: Typical Starbucks
I spent: $1.99 with tax Venti China Green Tips
Honey: Packets available
Tea: Tazo Teas
Coffee: Starbucks
Food: Selection of pastries and sandwiches. They can warm items in the microwave.
Wi-Fi: AT&T and T-Mobile, both fee based. Two free hours a day with Starbucks card.
Parking: You may have to hunt for a spot or walk a ways if it's crowded
Staff: Friendly
Ambiance:Typical Starbucks. View of Wadsworth and shopping center. If you can look past it, you can see the mountains.
Kid-Friendly Notes: They have a basket of books for children to look at if you have to bring the kids.

I'm not a Starbucks addict. I go there because it's convenient. Even though this is a smaller location, I can usually find a place to sit and work. Even though I'm a big fan of free Wi-Fi, I tend to choose Starbucks when I want to work without the distraction of the Internet because I'm not going to pay to go online and I'm too lazy to register a Starbucks card. Since I'm mostly a tea drinker, the selection of teas is important to me. I'm not terribly fond of the Tazo line, and they don't carry the flavor I prefer, but the China Green Tips isn't bad. Would love to see them pick up Zen again, since it's a decaf green, and when I go at night, I need decaf. Overall, not a bad place to work. A great place when I need to escape the Internet temptation. This is probably one of my favorite Starbucks locations for working.

One of my favorite spots are the chaise lounges by the window. I could stay there forever.

Starbucks is quieter than Panera, and so I like it better to get work done. A lot of my friends, however, go to Panera. So, if I want to write with them, I go there. I have been wondering lately about the "wisdom" of going to write with friends. I don't get much work done! :D
