David Wozniak finds himself in quite a pickle in “Starbuck.” He is told his girlfriend is pregnant. The news hits him like most new fathers to be. He is excited, yet scared. David does not know the half of it.
In earlier years, David donated sperm through a sperm bank under the alias, “Starbuck.” Now 142 of his 533 children want to know who he is. They have filed a class action lawsuit to determine his identity.
David’s girlfriend, Valerie, is a policewoman and someone you do not want to mess with. The fun begins as David decides he wishes to find out more about his children behind Valerie’s back.
The French-Canadian film stars Patrick Huard as David Wozniak. Julie LeBreton plays Valerie. Antoine Bertrand, Dominic Phillie, Marc Belanger, Igor Ovadis and David Michael are just a few who round out the cast of “Starbuck.” It is rated ‘R’ for sexual content and for the portrayal of drug use.
“Starbuck” is sub-titled from French and Spanish to English. “Starbuck” is definitely a must see in March.
Release date: March 29, 2013 in limited theaters.
