With the Public Test Server closed, more news has been surfacing in the "Star Wars: The Old Republic" forums about Game Update 2.4. Players who logged in to PTS over the last month had access to the planet Oricon, a new daily planet that brings us more quests involving the Dread Masters, along with Warzone Arenas and two new Level 55 Operations. On September 23, developer Eric Musco took to the forums to announce a small but epic addition: the upcoming game update will include the ability to dye lore outfits.
Lore outfits in "Star Wars: The Old Republic" are Cartel Market outfits available via Cartel Packs, which include various outfits from "Knights of the Old Republic". This news means you can color these outfits to your liking using in-game dye modules, meaning players can run around in their own unique style. One player can dye Mira's combat outfit Red and Black, while another dyes Mandalore the Preserver's armor blue - or maybe even pink. The only limit is the player's imagination.
The announcement was made in a thread titled, "I emplore you Bioware, please let us dye the Lore outfits.", which brought concern of Mira's outfit color to the developer's attention. Musco's post, found in the thread, says the following:
I come to this thread with some interesting news! Today I learned of a fun, new thing we are adding in Game Update 2.4... the ability to dye lore outfits!
Very handy that this thread was still active in GD so I could deliver this news
"Star Wars: The Old Republic" Game Update 2.4 is expected to go live on October 1, as per the September 12 press release.
