Star Wars Rebels trailer debuts May 4th

With the unofficial Star Wars holiday, May the 4th also known as “May the 4th Be With You” hitting this weekend fans have holding their breath to see what official news will start finally coming to light. This week already marked the announcement of the official cast of Episode VII, but they’re not done yet. This Sunday, May 4th will see the release of the highly anticipate trailer for the new animated series Star Wars Rebels.

In the series Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. The clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost is amongst a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.

Fans still have a little while to wait for the series to premiere, but will get the chance to check out the trailer this Sunday May 4th on here in the U.S. on Disney XD during the premiere of LEGO’s “Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles” at 7:00 pm ET/PT, as well as on Disney Channel, ABC, ABC Family, Fusion, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3 throughout the day. If you just can’t wait until the 4th, ABC's "Good Morning America" will air an exclusive 30-second sneak peek at the trailer on Friday, May 2nd.
