‘Star Wars Phantom Menace’ has storm troopers hit premiere red carpet in Sydney

The premiere of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace in 3D in Sydney on Saturday night was out of this world. The uniqueness of the evening had little to do with fashion and the white uniforms, well that was part of the movie. Taking a new approach to releasing a movie from the past to fans, the introduction was over the top.

The red carpet of the Star Wars movie was heavily guarded from out of this world character with the storm troopers lined up to serve and take photos with fans who lined up next to the barricade. Add to the atmosphere of a full orchestra playing the Star Wars theme music and the only thing needed was a pair of glasses to see the classic science fiction movie in 3D.

The fans who gathered for the event definitely had a moment to remember. Bringing the 1999 movie back to the theater, this time for 3D has everyone coming once again to see how the technology has changed the beloved film. While the critics have yet to officially share their thoughts, the audience reported was missed. Some liked the movie while others felt it fell short.

Either way, a premiere with a full orchestra and Storm Troopers could only be for a George Lucas film as he shares the best experience with the fans. Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace in 3D hits theaters on February 10, 2012.
