Several years ago a video hit the internet that featured a slightly chubby kid awkwardly maneuvering his way through an imaginary fight scene. Of course he held the lead of Darth Maul. And his enemies? Well, they were invisible at the moment.
Unfortunately, Ghyslain Raza was seriously affected by the video that was posted by his classmates. He dropped out of school and even ended up spending some time in a children's psychiatric ward. His parents sued the other parents of the children who posted the video and while, sure, it was a good laugh for those of us who saw it on the internet, it seriously put Raza in a not-so-good place.
However, this story has a happy ending. Raza is now in his early twenties and is practicing law in Canada. He's also president of Patrimoine Trois-Rivières, "a society dedicated to conserving the cultural history of Gaza's hometown of Trois-Rivières." (Cinematical)
While the Star Wars Kid viral video was a huge hit for fans, (Lexingtonian Ryan St. Clair loved it) it's good to know that the star himself went on to bigger and better things. Check out the original video below!
