Moments ago, StarWars.com broke the internet with the surprise announcement of the cast 'Star Wars: Episode VII' cast revealed. The new actors in the filme are John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join six members of the original cast, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. Sadly, Billy Dee Williams was not in that list, the movie is set to open globally on December 18, 2015.

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams and with above announcement it's obvious that he wants to bring in a new fresh cast to engage new fans but also wants to keep the fans from over the last 30 years happy as well. By mixing in fresh new faces with the beloved faces of Han, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2, Abrams is doing his best to keep the very picky fans of the Star Wars saga happy.

The screenplay was written by J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan with Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk producing. Another fan favorite and award winning composer John Williams returns for the score.
