According to International Business Times on Friday, recently and supposedly footage of Daisy Ridley in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars 7" sequel, which started filming in Abu Dhabi, was recently leaked by a Lucasfilm staff person Rey-Phillip Santos. It appeared to be a photo of an alien and a video of Ridley performing her stunts.
This report claim was made by Movieweb and now according to Starwars7news is actually a fake. The content was first posted on a site called Enjoygram 16 days prior and the time lines of this fake leakage doesn't make sense because hash tags that pointed toward its content were entered eight days after the supposed picture/video. This would make it all prior to the announcement of "Star Wars 7" starting its shooting in Abu Dhabi.
Attempts to debunk the footage and photo ran rampant on Starwars7news as commentators participated in a photo analysis of the fake picture where it was said to be photo-shopped and the reality that Ridley would require a stunt double in the video clip. The particular stunt performed seemed to demonstrate a level of risk as it would probably induce serious injury to the actress, so it would just make sense to hire a stand-in. Also, the stunt footage made it's debut prior to Abrams posting his public service announcement in regards to UNICEF and encouraging fans to contribute to a worthy cause.
The fake video was said to have presented content regarding a rumored character by the name of Jaina Solo. The clip showed someone airborne in some kind of light saber duel. At this time, Lucasfilm hasn't confirmed the leaked content, so in the mean time fans will have to consider them a sham for the moment and it's not uncommon for rumor and speculation on the internet to be mistaken for fact.
"Star Wars 7" is scheduled to be released come Dec. 18, 2015.
