Star Wars 1313 Delayed (Photos)

Last year in June, Star Wars fans in the gaming community rejoiced at the sighting of a brand new game for the franchise. Not only a new game, but a much darker, grittier game than Star Wars fans were use to. This rated "M" had been set to join others on a journey to be released in the year 2013. Although, sources that prefer to be unnamed have left rumors that quite possibly the game may be put on hold. This is a cause of Lucasfilm being purchased by Disney.

Are several surprised? While Disney has its hand in nearly everything, to place a game that was slated to be released sometime later this year seems to be a step backwards to wanting to show the world that their purchase had been a strong decision.

For now, gamers will have to hold their breath and pray to whatever gaming God they worship that these rumors are just that - rumors. This Star Wars fan has hope that things will continue on schedule, and once the game is on the shelves all of this will only be a bad dream. One can only hope.

Any that do not know, for background detail, Star Wars 1313 was said to be the first Star Wars with a rating of "M". Not only that, but it was going to show a darker, much more 'realistic' universe where bad things happen in the shadiest parts of the galaxy. How can Disney deny gaming fans this precious game?

May the force be with us.
