'Star Trek's' Simon Pegg is working with Edgar Wright on a new movie

According to The Telegraph on Tuesday, "Star Trek's" Simon Pegg and former director-to-be of "Ant-Man", Edgar Wright, are confirmed to be working together on a new movie. During an interview, Pegg made such a confirmation that the film already has a title and some may have remembered previous films in which they had worked together on "Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz", and "The World's End." This trio of movies was also deemed the film buzz word "The Cornetto Trilogy."

In these three movies, Pegg was also paired up with Nick Frost during the past 10 years of filming such a trilogy. However, Pegg did clarify this next film would not be an addendum in order to make it a tetralogy. In fact, further clarification by Pegg revealed that when it was mentioned those series of films were over, it was because those types of movies had been concluded. Apparently, it all had a specific criteria.

"When we said the trilogy was over, it was because that group of films was over. They're all kind of related with each other and deal with a specific idea. There's a criteria to those films."

Pegg gave no clue if Frost would be in future films with the "Star Trek: Into Darkness" star and also gave no indication when the new film will go into production. At this time, it was only indicated that Wright and Pegg were working on other projects now.

Marvel fans may have recalled Wright having been selected quite some time ago to direct the "Ant-Man" film, but due to creative differences on the script that had been produced to the executives, Wright decided not to go through with the project. Director Peyton Reed had recently taken over the project as additional actors, John Slattery of "Mad Men" and Judy Greer of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", make their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For those fans that would like to be pacified for the time being, it seems this duo of Pegg and Frost will be starring from their previous roles of "Shaun of the Dead." It will be of an animated variety while Pegg, who will be voicing Shaun, will be teaming up with the currently zombie-infected Frost this coming Fall.
