Star Trek Online Legacy of Romulus expansion pack announced

Perfect World Entertainment announced the Legacy of Romulus expansion pack for Star Trek Online today. The expansion is scheduled for release on May 21, 2013 and as you would expect from the title, includes a bunch of new Romulan-related content.

Gamers have two options when it comes to buying the expansion. They can spend $19.99 on a "Starter Pack" which features two new ships (the T'Varo Warbird Retrofit and T'Varo Light Warbird), the Liberated Borg Reman Bridge Officer, and the "Survivor of Romulus" title.

A more hardcore Trekkie can drop $129.99 on the Legacy Pack which has a lot more new content. The Legacy Pack includes the nine new ships (the D'deridex Warbird Retrofit, Mogai Warbird Retrofit, Dhelan Warbird Retrofit, T'Varo Warbird Retrofit, D'ridthau Warbird Battle Cruiser, Valdore Heavy Warbird, Dhael Warbird, T'Varo Light Warbird, and Scorpion Fighter) as well as the Liberated Borg Reman Bridge Officer, Premium Romulan Faction Species - Reman, and Special Reman Duty Officer Mini-Pack.

The Legacy Pack also comes with 30 master keys, a Reman "Nemesis" Uniform, and the "Rihannsu," and "Survivor of Romulus" titles.

Although $129.99 seems like a bit much to spend on a game that is free-to-play, the official site says the content in the Legacy Pack is actually a $181 value so the price will probably go up to that once it is released in May. If you are interested in buying the Legacy Pack, you should probably pre-order it now at the reduced price.
