Cryptic Studios is celebrating the three-year anniversary of Star Trek Online, and players are reaping the benefits. Starting today and until February 14th, Star Trek Online players can get several in-game gifts by helping to celebrate the anniversary.
Players can visit the omnipresent Q on Earth Spacedock or on Qo'noS to help him plan the party and receive special gifts everyday. But bigger rewards await those who complete the new "Temporal Ambassador," a special Feature Episode starring Denise Crosby as Lieutenant Tasha Yar from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Completing this Feature Episode will award Federation players two versions of the Ambassador-class cruiser seen in the ST:TNG episode, "Yesterday's Enterprise." Klingon players will receive two versions of a Kamarag-class vessel that has some impressive stats. Stats for the new ships can be seen here.
Cryptic has put together a couple of out-of-game treats for players as well. Check out their new anniversary video, featuring a look back at the game's history and a hint of what may be in store for the future. Also, they've got an infographic with some interesting statistics about the playerbase and the game.
Star Trek Online went free-to-play last year, so anyone can jump in and help celebrate the anniversary.
