For the first time ever, there will be a crossover between Doctor Who and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Fans are going to be thrilled to get the chance to see the worlds most famous time traveler team up with the U.S.S. Enterprise crew in Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation².
“By joining these two sci-fi powerhouses, fans will be taken on the ultimate adventure through time and space,” said liz Kalodner, executive vice president and general manager of CBS Consumer Products.
The eight issue series will be written by Scott and David Tipton, the writers of Star Trek: Infestation, with the help of Tony Lee, longtime Doctor Who writer. Art will be done by J.K. Woodward.
The story will have the fan-favorite villains, Borg and Cybermen, team up in an unholy alliance that can potentially lead to the end of existence for all mankind. The Starship Enterprise crew will have to team up with The Doctor to help save the human race.
Be sure to check your comic shops in May for the release of the first of eight issues of Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation². Though, with a series this huge, you definitely will be able to find copies of the series at your favorite comic book conventions, so if you forget to pick it up in May, you will have other chances in July!
