It was opening night for the 2013-2014 season of Stories on Stage and the audience was treated to an amazing show. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Tony Award-winning actor René Auberjonois brought author Tom Wolfe to life in his brilliant one-man performance of Big Bad Wolfe Sat night Sep 21, 2013. Right from the start the audience at the at the Sue Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center felt like they were listening to Tom Wolfe himself. Auberjonois’ spot on performance made the audience feel as though there were in the cockpit with Chuck Yeager from The Right Stuff, struggling alongside Peter Fallow from Bonfire of the Vanities, and partying with Leonard Bernstein in 1970. Wolfe’s writings were perfectly captured by wife Judith Auberjonois. Big Bad Wolfe is a series of pieces that entranced the audience with its energy and humor.
New York City born actor and director, René Auberjonois, is best known for portraying Chief of Security Odo on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He has stolen audiences’ hearts for years playing Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, and praised for his role as Paul Lewiston alongside Trek alumn William Shatner in Boston Legal, and the winner of a Tony Award for his support actor role in Broadway musical, Coco (with Katharine Hepburn).
