According to MTV on April 7, Chris Pratt, known for his role in the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation", stars in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy". There is a new clip of Star-Lord making evasive maneuvers when he's captured by Korath the Pursuer, played by Djimon Hounsou.

Considering that Marvel Studios is taking its environment to the stars, from the looks of it, it still carries on the mantra of exciting and enjoyable films. This clip actually made its debut at the MTV Movie Awards Takeover as it participated in the "special look" at the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

Certain scenes depicted an "Raiders of the Lost Ark" feel to it as Pratt approaches the artifact, but this time he's smart. He doesn't handle the artifact, but has a device that extracts it for him. At that moment, he's outgunned by Korath the Pursuer. Star-Lord then makes his witty escape by falling backwards and jettisoning himself away from the threat.

James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" debuts in theaters Aug. 1.
