Mo’Nique has been shedding weight for longer than a year, all of it chronicled on Twitter and on her website, MoNiqueWorldwide.org. Mo’Nique regularly tweets her workouts, photos, and plenty of inspiration. On May 30, S2S Magazine reported that Star Jones is “hating on Mo’Nique’s weight loss.” Since that time Mo'Nique has been posting hikes, plank challenges, and stretching. If anyone has the desire to motivation, she's the one. If anyone understands what it's like to be overweight and trying to find suitable exercises, she can point you in the right direction.

It appears that Star thinks Mo’Nique “must have had something done because she’s looking so good so fast,” Jones tells a friend.

We’re guessing Ms. Jones doesn’t follow Mo’Nique on Twitter or she would know that this has been a long road for Mo’Nique and she has been doing it the old-fashioned way. This wasn't a quick process, it has taken over a year for the star to drop over 80 pounds.

In a recent interview with New York’s Hot 97, Mo gave a lengthy explanation of her weight loss efforts, “I tweet every morning about my workouts because I want women to see—especially us big women—that you don’t have to let them cut you and suck it out. You don’t have to let them staple you up. You don’t have to let them give you a pill. You don’t have to let them put a band around your organs.”

Sources state that Mo’Nique has got wind of Star’s comments and thinks the attorney/author/ex-“The View” co-host is just jealous because she initially lied about having bypass surgery. Mo’Nique doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks.

What do you think, did the hard work and dedication cause the weight loss – or did Mo’Nique have a hush-hush surgery? Sound off in the comments below.
