Romeo and Juliet is considered a "tragedy" type romantic production. It was written by William Shakespeare shortly after he began his writing career. It has been adapted numerous times over many centuries for theatre.

The plot is about two young lovers who take their own lives due to their quarreling families. Their deaths result in bringing their other family members together to reconcile their feud.

There is no pay for the STAR, Inc. production of this play, but the chance to have Romeo and Juliet on an actor's resume is pay in itself. For photos from some of the other productions presented by STAR, Inc., check out the slideshow in this article.
